I couldn’t picture what my 2-year brain-a-versary would look like a year and a half ago.
To be absolutely, completely honest, I can’t say that I’m doing a whole lot better than I was in 2016 either.
But, when I really thought about why I’d want to celebrate my life getting flipped, turned upside down (announced on social media link), it all comes down to this: I listened to my body and I went in.
It’s so simple, but it obviously turned out to be a really big deal.
Trust yourself, your body always knows what’s up.
The Three Medical Amigas
Since we met over a year ago, we found that even though our initial diagnoses were different, we face a helluva lot of the same challenges on. the. daily.

What's a spoonie?
Read below, and/or you can look here for more details. Spoonies can have neurological disorders (stroke and MS for example), fibromyalgia, cancer (and post-cancer), lupus, and basically any chronic health dis-ease (I've left out A LOT). It's not anything to brag about, being a spoonie, but in some strange way we understand the suckfest, and the spoonie community is for the most part really great.
As a fun game, tell me what your spoonie name is! Mine is Achy McPillbox, so it's preeeeety accurate...
You don't need to be a Spoonie to participate, but extra points if you are! Also, there are no prizes for the best. Well, there should be actually...leave yours in a comment below!
